Thai life involves a healthy amount of eccentric behavior - no shoes in the house, no stepping on doorways, lowering your head a bit as you walk past someone older than you, no getting a haircut on Wednesday - to name but four. But there are also other codes to follow should you want to appear uber Thai that you may not be aware of. Here, we present a basic guide on how to behave like a true Thai while you are at different social venues around the city.
AT MOVIE THEATRES :-
Movie-going in Thailand involves more than just sitting in a dark room and watching moving pictures. It's also one of the most popular activities among Thais despite their complaints about high ticket prices. We've picked up some "unqiue" traits found among Thai audiences.
AT RESTAURANTS :-
The range of eateries in Bangkok is very varied, from a noodle shophouse to a hotel buffet to a hi-so place that imports ingredients from across the globe. However, there's a shared pattern of how Thai patrons behave at these places.
AT MALLS :-
Malls are integral institutions to the Thai way of life. You can do pretty much anything at a mall since they gather all kinds of products and services. You can't call yourself a true Thai if you don't visit a mall at least once a week and learn how to have the proper Thai mall experience.
AT PUBS AND BARS :-
Enjoyed everyone? It's COO............L na!!!!
Though this article is written according to the Thais, I personally feel that this is suitable for all young blood everywhere..!!!
